Dana Davis is the Founder and President of Star Developmental Services. Originally from New Orleans, LA, she graduated from Hahnville High School. Once finishing high school she was employed by the ARC of St Charles. Dana assisted the job coach in helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities find employment. After 6 months, Dana was promoted to a supervisor role for job coaching. She enjoyed assisting the individuals with time card management, payroll and equipment use and safety.

After 5 years of employment at the ARC, Dana worked as a deputy sheriff in a local correctional facility. While working as a deputy sheriff, Dana felt as if she was not living out her purpose in life. Resigning after 4 years of service to the sheriff department she regained employment working with disable individuals. It is then that Dana was sure that she was in alignment with what she was created to do.

In 2010, Dana relocated to California where she started working with an organization that served disabled persons. In this organization, Dana received a certificate for Life Quality Coach and became a Registered Behavior Technician. Dana has worked in different areas such as day programs, community based instruction, group homes, worked as a behavior interventionist ,and in both public and private school classrooms for individuals with disabilities.

In 2012, Dana met Wendell at work and they became great friends and coworkers. In 2016, they were married and together felt the urge to do more for individuals with disabilities and their families. Because of the personal and positive impact these experiences had on their lives and family, Star Developmental Services was created.
